Is my total exactly $1?
The contribution is $1. A separate processing amount may be added. Review the final total and currency in Stripe Checkout before you confirm.
Who is the first recipient?
Ruslan, the founder. He chose to begin with himself and discloses this in his story. There was no community vote for the first round.
Does WE CHANGE ONE take a commission?
The stated model is $0 platform commission from the $1 contribution. The payment code can still collect on the project’s own Stripe account, so zero commission does not mean funds always bypass the project.
Is exactly $1 guaranteed to reach The One?
That is the goal. A fixed processing addition does not guarantee exactly $1 after actual fees. Payments & Fees explains the distinction.
Can anyone apply for free?
Not under the current product model. Eligibility is limited to people with a confirmed contribution and an email. Applications and voting are not yet open.
Does giving guarantee I become The One?
No. Payment does not guarantee selection. Because current eligibility is linked to payment, we do not claim that paying has no effect on eligibility.
What if the goal is not reached?
There is no guaranteed completion date. Do not assume contributions are held until the goal or automatically refunded if it is not reached.
Is this a subscription?
No. The current checkout creates a one-time payment.
Where are my card details entered?
On Stripe Checkout. The site’s initial form asks for email, not your card details.
Is the counter proof of a payout?
No. It shows public progress, not an audited bank payout. Confirmation, counter updates and bank payouts happen separately.
