The first recipient is the founder

Ruslan created WE CHANGE ONE and chose to be the first recipient. This is a disclosed founder-led first round, not the result of a public selection process.

The intended model

You contribute $1 for The One. WE CHANGE ONE’s stated model is $0 platform commission from that contribution. A separate processing amount may be added at checkout.

What the payment setup does

The integration supports payments on a recipient’s connected Stripe account. It also supports payments on the project’s own Stripe account when no connected account is configured. We therefore do not claim that contributions always bypass the project’s account.

A $1 contribution line item does not prove that exactly $1 reaches the recipient after all fees. See Payments & Fees.

What the counter means

The homepage shows the round’s public progress. It is not proof of a bank payout or an independently audited total. A confirmed payment can take time to appear. Repeat contributions, refunds and payment disputes require separate reconciliation.

What is not claimed

We do not display an independent identity-verification badge or claim an external audit. Stripe processing does not mean Stripe endorses the project, the recipient’s story or the selection process.

The next round

The current eligibility model is linked to a confirmed contribution and email. Applications and voting are not open. The final rules must be available before either begins.
