Why Ruslan is first
Ruslan is the founder of WE CHANGE ONE. He chose to start with himself and explains that decision in his story. He was not chosen by a community vote.
Who can take part next
Under the current product model, only verified ONES — people who made a confirmed contribution and supplied an email — are eligible to apply and vote. Payment and selection are separate steps, but eligibility is currently linked to payment.
The proposed selection process
- Eligible ONES submit their stories when applications open.
- The community selects THE NEXT 10.
- Verified ONES vote to choose the next recipient.
A contribution does not guarantee a place in THE NEXT 10 or selection as The One. The site does not currently offer an application or voting form.
Rules before voting
Application dates, age and country eligibility, verification, vote limits, ties, conflicts of interest and the publication of results must be set out before selection opens. The proposed process is not a promise of an open competition today.
